A silver sewing set in a red leather box from the 1830 s. The box is lined in red velvet and the tools fit within shaped outlines. There is a pair of embossed silver scissors, a silver stiletto, silver bodkin and silver thimble.
The pieces are in excellent order- no damage.
The case is scuffed and the leather hinge is split for a short length so won't take any rough treatment although it's fine at the moment.
The pieces are unmarked silver which is quite usual for light weight pieces of English silver at this date. The thimble is a later replacement ( c 1850 ) but fits the space well.
Case- 11 x 6 cm ( 4.5 x 2.5 inches )
