An English pressed brass pin holder in the shape of a jockey's cap. The pins are inserted in holes punched in the metal. The base is stamped 'M. A. Rich Sole Maker Keston Cheshire' and there is a diamond pattern registration mark for 1873.
It is following the tradition for novelty needle packet holders designed by W. Avery of Redditch.
In excellent condition- no damage.
