A pearl topped emery form a work box. c 1850


A  pearl topped sewing item from a Victorian sewing box- an emery. It was used to sharpen the needle by pushing it through the holes in the ivory barrel into the emery filled cushion.
It would have been part of a matching set of spools, tape measure and thread waxer. c 1850

In excellent condition.
